"My aim is to only use natural crystals in settings that add beauty to the piece."
It all started in the busy dusty streets of Jaipur Rajasthan, India where displays of vivid coloured sparkling Gems captivated me with their Vibrant natural beauty.........I was hooked.
I spent more and more time watching skilled craftsmen work silver, gold and gemstones into amazing pieces of wearable jewellery using traditional techniques past down through generations.
After much practice and help from friends I was soon selecting rough materials for cutting by the lapiderists (cutters) and making my own pieces of jewellery.
And so my shop started in a small village in Goa, South India about 15 years ago.
Crafting a piece is like a form of meditation to me as I focus on the task silently, concentrating and working the silver. When you buy one of my pieces you are not only receiving a unique piece of jewellery but also a piece of art that I've put my time, love and good intentions into. Also you are helping me support my family while doing something I love. I now live in the foothills of the mountains of central Portugal with my wife and two children.
When possible I like to add windows into my settings to give more light to the crystal, and give more contact of it to the wearer, it is my own unique style. Many of the crystals I work with, I have found on my travels through Asia and Australia, meeting people with similar interests and local gem sellers.
If you do not see the crystal you would like please ask as I have many different types/cuts and colours. I carefully collect all my silver waste (off cuts and dust) and smelt it all together for using again on future projects and always buy "eco" silver where possible.
Many thanks for your interest.
